Rated 2 out of 5 by from Failed delivery of product I went in to pick a mattress for my daughter paid and had an agreement to come the next day for pick up. I sent daughter and husband for pick up and when they arrived they were told that the mattress was not available and that it would take 2 days for now delivery. This is a setback because we just moved in to a new home and now my daughter needs to sleep in floor and wait an additional 2 days. I have been a customer for a long time and this really impacted me on any future purchases.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from satisfactory We recently bought a mattress and movable base. Our experience in the showroom was very good. They matched prices and we were satisfied. Issues arose around delivery when the window of time was supposed to be 7 AM to 11AM but was written down as 7AM to 11PM!! The mattress time was changed so it wouldn't be delivered when we were out. Instead, it was delivered about 8 that evening during a family party. Not at all convenient...next time we will check the delivery time before we leave.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from exceptional service, quality product. Sleeptrain met all of my consumer expectations. The company obviously trains its staff for service and holds the staff accountable for performance. This is how it should be. This should not be noteworthy or exceptional; yet, unfortunately, it is. Compared to the general retail standard of the second decade of the 21st century, Sleeptrain stands out from and above the compitition. They are a throwback to the late 20th century, pre-bigbox, golden age of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleasant mattress-buying experience A new mattress was the first major joint purchase for me and my boyfriend of nearly three years. We had a very pleasant shopping experience at Sleep Train and decided too buy a mattress as a result of the friendly, no-pressure approach of the sales associate. Although I've only slept on it a handful of times so far, it is extremely comfortable. My boyfriend lives it, as tyre new mattress is a huge improvement.

She was very knowledgeable about the inventory and patiently guided us through the mattress testing process. We didn't plan on purchasing a mattress that day but we were so pleased with the exceptional customer service and the stress free shopping experience. Thanks Cassondra, you're awesome and we love our new Serta Savant Everfeel Cushion Firm mattress!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overall Average Sales people were great. Bed is great. Delivery was terrible. Didn't get the bed until a week after purchase and accessories were not delivered with it. Did not get all of the accessories until a month and a half after purchase. It is too bad that the sale and delivery of the accessories has to draw down the overall rating of the store. Either have a stock of accessories on hand or don't sell them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE AND COSTLY EXPERIENCE! While in the store, that experience was very good and educational. The manager was highly knowledgable and informative. I feel I made the best decision regarding my purchase and have enjoyed my new bed. Outside of the in-store experience, it was all bad! When the drivers called me to let me know they were 30 minutes away, I could barely understand them. I asked for the man to repeat what he was saying, he took it the wrong way and his tone became rude. The driver showed up an hour after the time he said he'd be there. That's not really a big deal, but I do believe it has a little to do with the rest of my problem. When they arrived, they were very rushed to say the least. As they were ripping the plastic off the bed, they just threw it on the floor instead of putting it in a corner or perhaps, taking it out to the truck. When they took the movable platform from the box, they threw that on the floor as well, right in the middle of the room, where they were stepping on it and slipping around while trying to set things up. When they took the platform out of the packaging, they carelessly scrapped the left side my beautiful and expensive chest of drawer with armoire. I was devastated and highly irritated at their lack of regard for professionalism and care while setting up! The driver took photos of the gash and walked outside to call his supervisor. I asked to speak with the supervisor and he would not even acknowledge me. When he got off the phone, he told me he sent the photos of the damage and someone will contact me in the morning. I waited till Monday and didn't hear from anyone. I contacted the store 3 times over the next 2 weeks, and spoke with the acting manager, whom I thought was processing a claim for the damages. I found out after 3 weeks NOTHING had been done. Then I was told to contact the claims center, which I did. I was told by the claims department that they ONLY process claims for MATTRESSES ONLY!!! I was shocked and at a total loss!! I was referred back to the store manager (Nancy Strohmyer) now manager of a store in San Jose. I contacted Nancy and had to go through the entire process of explaining everything again. Nancy contacted me a few days after we spoke to tell me she was going to take care of this NO MATTER WHAT! She asked me to get her a estimate for repair it it could be repaired. I contacted the vendor and was told the gash is too deep and cannot be repaired. My husband called Nancy and told her what the vendor said, and she said she'd get back to us. About a week later we heard from a different manager. His name is Brandon Favorite, and I believe he works in the San Jose store. Brandon explained the ONLY thing they can do for us now is offer us pillows and sheets! Really! My furniture that I paid $1200 dollars for is damaged and cannot be repaired, and you're offering me pillows and sheets??? What happened to Nancy telling us she'd take care of this NO MATTER WHAT?? I don't want your pillows or sheets..... This is bad business practice and I want everyone to know about it. If you do business with SleepTrain, and your furniture gets damaged in the process, you're at a total loss, that is, unless pillows and sheets will make up for your damaged goods! I opened a NEW line of credit the day I made my purchase, and will pay this account off and go elsewhere from now on. Words cannot describe how shocked I am at the resolve SleepTrain has offered! Extremely Unhappy and Displeased Customer,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent service The service at the Gilroy store was excellent. My mom and myself love our beds. The store manager who we dealt with was very informative about our beds. The 600 dollars of free merchandise was great because we bought two beds. We got free bed sheets and mattress protectors. We love our bed sheets. Very nice people who work there.
